Starting Anew

When Foxy and I got together we were at very different stages of life. No details needed, but here we are now, holding down this insanely varied business, two kids, and day jobs. Needless to say, we’ve got a lot on our collective plate.

Our purpose has always been to support ourselves and our family in a way that makes us happy. We’ve both been driven down and smooshed into the mire by jobs where we were underappreciated, underpaid, overworked, and treated badly. Taking the step to remove ourselves from those environments to focus on what we now have was terrifying, and remains so. Foxy still works during the day. I still work as I can as author and editor, but I also take care of our house and children.

For years, we’ve depended on the stability and existing marketplaces of various selling platforms, and I’m sure we’ll continue to do so for a while, but setting this site up; having the autonomy to list and add products as we please, is a big leap. It’s scary but exciting. Our hope is that showing our range of products and passions will draw both loyal and new customers over to our own little slice of the internet, rather than finding us amongst the sweaty muck of massive online resale spaces.
